Larry Klane

Larry currently serves on the boards of Goldman Sachs Bank USA, Navient Corporation and The

Real Brokerage Inc. He recently served on the boards of Verifone Systems Inc., Nexi Group, S.p.A

and of Ethoca Limited. Previously, Larry served as Chairman of the Board and CEO of Korea

Exchange Bank and as a Director of Aozora Bank, publicly traded banks in Korea and Japan

respectively.

In January 2014, Larry co-founded Pivot Investment Partners, a private investment firm focused on

investing in a select set of high potential financial technology companies.

Prior to co-founding Pivot, Larry was the Global Financial Institutions Group Leader for Cerberus

Capital Management. In this capacity, Larry worked to maximize the value of the firm’s financial

services activities, including new transactions as well as the existing portfolio of companies. He

served on board of Aozora Bank, a publicly traded bank in Japan in which Cerberus held a

controlling interest.

Larry joined Cerberus after serving as the Chairman and CEO of Korea Exchange Bank, a leading

publicly traded Korean commercial and retail bank of approximately $100 billion of assets with an

extensive international presence. He led the bank through the global financial crisis to the 2012

landmark sale by the Bank’s majority private equity shareholder—the largest transaction in Korean

banking history.

Prior to leading Korea Exchange Bank, Larry served as President of the Global Financial Services

division of Capital One Financial Corporation. Larry joined Capital One in 2000 to help lead the

company’s transformation to a diversified financial services business. His responsibilities during

his tenure included a broad range of consumer and business finance activities in the United States,

Europe and Canada. He oversaw all merger and acquisition activities. Larry also chaired the

European Bank's Board and was a director of the Capital One Federal Savings Bank Board.

Prior to Capital One, Larry was a Managing Director at Deutsche Bank and ran the Corporate Trust

and Agency Services business acquired from Bankers Trust. Earlier in his career, Larry spent a

decade in a variety of US and overseas consulting and strategy roles.

In 2007, he was nominated by the President of the United States to sit on the Federal Reserve Board of Governors.
